Eirik Sharp

Eirik is our lead instructor and managing guide. Originally from Norway he grew up backcountry skiing and has been working in the snow for 15 years as a snow science researcher, an avalanche forecaster, and a ski guide. He is a lead guide at Last Frontier Heli-skiing and also trains new avalanche professionals as a lead instructor with the Canadian Avalanche Association’s Industry training Program. He has a M.Sc. in avalanche mapping and is a research associate in Simon Fraser University’s Avalanche Research Program. In addition to his work with the Sharp End Eirik owns and operates Mountain Risk Management, an industrial avalanche risk consulting company.
